Farbenfroher und moderner Wohnkomfort: Nach der Komplettmodernisierung strahlt der Gebäudekomplex in Berlin-Neukölln in neuem Glanz.// Colourful and modern living comfort: After complete modernisation, the building complex in Berlin-Neukölln is gleaming in new brilliance. Für die Sanierung der 52 Wohnungen in Berlin-Neukölln kamen in Anlehnung an die ursprüngliche Fassade PVC-Fenster-Systeme mit historisch rekonstruierter Sprossenteilung zum Einsatz.// PVC window systems with the historically reconstructed sash-bars were used in the modernisation work in the 52 flats in Berlin-Neukölln in the style of the original façade. Wohnen mit Ambiente: Der helle PVC-Bodenbelag in Holzoptik wirkt freundlich und einladend. Im Küchen- und Wohnbereich ist er nicht nur unempfindlich und pflegeleicht: Sein Holzdesign setzt den Raum erst richtig in Szene.// Living with ambiance: The light PVC flooring with the look of wood has a friendly and inviting feeling. In the kitchen and living room, the flooring is not only durable and easy-to-clean: its wooden design brilliantly highlights the room.

Modernisierungsmaßnahmen verhelfen vernachlässigtem Wohnraum wieder zu neuem Glanz. Das zeigt der Gebäudekomplex auf der Schierker Straße und am Ilsenhof in Berlin-Neukölln. Von den 52 Wohnungen standen 42 schon seit Jahren leer, weil die Ausstattung der Häuser seit 1933 kaum verändert wurde. Durch zweckmäßigere Grundrisse, moderne Zentralheizungen, neue Einbauküchen und Badezimmer schuf Charles Casey Mathewson vom Architekturbüro mab - mathewson architektur berlin im Auftrag des Bauherren SIC Properties Berlin jetzt wieder attraktiven Wohnraum. Die lichtdurchfluteten 2-Zimmer-Wohnungen erhielten bis auf die Badezimmer auf einer Fläche von insgesamt 2.000 Quadratmetern pflegeleichte PVC-Bodenbeläge in Holzoptik. Die neuen rund 250 PVC-Fenster mit 2-fach-Isolierverglasung und überdurchschnittlichem Lärmschutz sparen außerdem Energie, sind pflegeleicht und benötigen keinen Anstrich: hoher Wohnkomfort für die Mieter des frisch sanierten Gebäudekomplexes.

New Brilliance

Modernisation work is helping neglected buildings to achieve new brilliance. This is the case in Schierker Street and Ilsenhof in Berlin-Neukölln. 42 of the 52 rental units have been vacant for years because the furnishings of the buildings have virtually remained unchanged since 1933. Commissioned by the construction company SIC Properties Berlin, Charles Casey Mathewson of the architectural office mab - mathewson architektur berlin has redeveloped these units into attractive flats with practical floor plans, modern central heating, and new built-in kitchens and bathrooms. Except for the bathrooms, the two-room flats bathed in light were furnished with a total of 2,000 square metres of easy-maintenance PVC flooring in wood finish. The approximately 250 new PVC windows with double-glazing and above-average sound insulation also save energy, are low maintenance, and do not have to be painted. This is great living comfort for the residents of the recently renovated building complex.
