Best Practice PVC recognized in new Green Star approach

After nearly 2 years of extensive engagement by VCA and the PVC pipe sector (PIPA) with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), PVC products will now be accepted in future Green Star-rated building projects. Recognizing the progress of the Australian PVC industry to improve the environmental performance of PVC products, largely through the industry Product Stewardship Program, the GBCA is proposing to replace the negative PVC Minimization Credit in the Materials category of the Green Star building rating tool with a new approach to encourage best practice in the Australian PVC industry.
